We believe in holistic development.
Our teams work directly with panchayats, schools and families. We hold street plays, distribute literature, and provide vocational training for girls. Over 200 villages have been sensitized and child marriages in our focus areas have dropped drastically.
Community kitchens run regularly in Purulia, Chandankyari and Bokaro. Elderly, orphans and families in distress receive at least one hot nutritious meal a day. In times of flood or drought, the kitchens scale up to serve thousands.
We maintain a small emergency fund and medicine reserve. On receiving a distress call through a Gramin Sathi worker, we dispatch medicines, food packets, and if needed, temporary shelter — usually within 24 hours.
